Nevermind the horrible new film Real Steel. The real boxing action this weekend is with Digital Playground’s amazing new mega-film, “Fighters.”
Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross and Stoya are all top notch in both their acting and their fucking – Jesse Jane gives what may be the best performance of her career here — a dramatic turn that retains the comedic elements which make her the undisputed best in adult… years after most would have faded away. Even the normally wooden Riley Steel takes it up a notch, delivering a performance that has more weight to it than her usually doe-eyed ditzy roles. And while her performance has more weight, her body has less, looking better than it has in recent DP epics. Digital Playground’s new-cummer BiBi Jones has a small role in this, and considering the fact that it mimics the real-life twitter war between her and Jesse Jane, one wonders if it was all a nifty little publicity stunt by the masterminds at Digital P. Regardless, it works, and even the male talent led by the always entertaining Manuel Ferrara rise to the challenges of the dramatic material here. Noteworthy is Tommy Gunn, who, playing the deadbeat dad of Jesse and Riley, manages to inject some real heart into the climax of this film in a scene that could have been corny with someone possessing lesser acting ability.
Kudos to director Robby D — light years more talented than mainstream director Sean Levy who botched this week’s other boxing offering, Real Steel. Unlike that ‘Night at the Museum’ director, Robby D continues to grow with each Digital Playground release, making our “releases” that much more satisfying!
August 1, 2011 — VAN NUYS, Calif. — On September 27th, the gloves come off and the bitch fight is on! Digital Playground satisfies the demand for another big production and fans will want a ring side seat for the release of the latest epic blockbuster “Fighters.” Conceived by Digital Playground’s founder and award-winning director, Joone and written for the screen and directed by the legendary Robby D., “Fighters” will surely deliver a 1-2 punch to adult audiences everywhere.
Jesse Jane® and Kayden Kross are two beautiful, passionate girls, from opposite walks of life that come together in a battle of lust and unyielding wills to fight it out in a stealthy boxing match. Riley Steeleâ„¢ plays Jesse’s streetwise naughty sister and Stoya is Kayden’s equally privileged best friend. And BiBi Jonesâ„¢ stars as the new girl in town who sleeps with Jesse’s dad creating even more fighting. The intense physical sparring both in and out of the ring leads to some fierce sexual encounters.
Jesse Jane and Kayden Kross both underwent months of rigorous training in boxing and fight choreography for their roles. Jesse says “Fighters” was the hardest movie she’s ever done. “I had to train in boxing for three months before we started shooting and gained some serious muscle weight. It took a lot of hard work and commitment, but it was worth it. I think this is the best I’ve ever done in a movie, and I can’t wait to see it!!!” “I’ve never actually immersed myself in a role so deeply.” echoes Kayden, “Jesse and I had to undergo a physical and mental transformation for our characters to be authentic and I hope the fans like what they see!”
“When creating a film on the scale of ‘Fighters’, I knew it would be important for the girls to be convincing as boxers.” says Joone, Digital Playground founder and director, “‘Fighters’ really portrays a side of Jesse Jane and Kayden Kross that audiences have never seen before and is without a doubt THE BEST performance of Jesse’s career.”
“I really felt strongly that this story needed to be told.” says Director Robby D, “So often in the adult industry, we get cast in a negative light with regards to the treatment of women. This story is about the empowerment of women and the ability for people in general to overcome obstacles in their lives and regain control. There is also a lot of hot, dirty sex and some great cat fights.”
“Robby D. has once again created and directed an amazing ensemble cast of strong, sexy and confident female characters.” adds Samantha Lewis, Digital Playground CEO. “Robby’s ability to raise the bar with every feature is not surprising because of his dedication to his work. We are extremely fortunate to have one of the very best directors, if not the best in the adult entertainment industry, leading the DP team.”
