Forget ‘REAL STEEL’! DP’s ‘FIGHTERS’ Are The REAL Winners

Nevermind the horrible new film Real Steel. The real boxing action this weekend is with Digital Playground’s amazing new mega-film, “Fighters.”

Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross and Stoya are all top notch in both their acting and their fucking – Jesse Jane gives what may be the best performance of her career here — a dramatic turn that retains the comedic elements which make her the undisputed best in adult… years after most would have faded away. Even the normally wooden Riley Steel takes it up a notch, delivering a performance that has more weight to it than her usually doe-eyed ditzy roles. And while her performance has more weight, her body has less, looking better than it has in recent DP epics. Digital Playground’s new-cummer BiBi Jones has a small role in this, and considering the fact that it mimics the real-life twitter war between her and Jesse Jane, one wonders if it was all a nifty little publicity stunt by the masterminds at Digital P. Regardless, it works, and even the male talent led by the always entertaining Manuel Ferrara rise to the challenges of the dramatic material here. Noteworthy is Tommy Gunn, who, playing the deadbeat dad of Jesse and Riley, manages to inject some real heart into the climax of this film in a scene that could have been corny with someone possessing lesser acting ability.

Kudos to director Robby D — light years more talented than mainstream director Sean Levy who botched this week’s other boxing offering, Real Steel. Unlike that ‘Night at the Museum’ director, Robby D continues to grow with each Digital Playground release, making our “releases” that much more satisfying!
